Brass Educational Workshop
Minnesota Brass is pleased to offer a 12-week educational workshop designed to enhance the performance capabilities of brass instrument musicians. Workshop topics include Historical Development of Brass Instruments, History of Brass Instruments in Drum & Bugle Corps, Brass Performance Techniques for Individuals and Ensembles, and Music for Individual & Ensemble Brass Performance. The program also has potential to include solo & ensemble recitals and concerts depending on interest. Program is open to brass instrument musicians at all levels of musicianship and ages; high schoolers to seniors
When: Friday evenings, March 6th through May 22nd, 2020
Where: Inver Hills Community College, 2500 80th St E, Inver Grove Heights, MN 55076, Fine Arts Building, Band room
Time: 6:30-9:30 pm
Cost: $100 for 12 week program
Other: Free parking is available north of the fine arts building and any door will let you into the building.
- Program Instructor: Robert Gurrola
- Guest performer and mentor appearances planned to offer diverse range of teaching methods and musical styles
- Instruments: Marching Brass, Orchestral Brass.
- MBI will also have marching brass instruments available for loan-out to musicians needing an instrument. Please consult with Instructor at registration if you need an instrument.
