Where & When

We invite everyone interested to attend a rehearsal Saturdays during the month of November. We’ll rehearse from 9a-3p at University Baptist Church in Dinkytown on Saturdays: November 4th, 11th and 18th.

There’s both free and paid on-street parking in Dinkytown. Give yourself some extra time to find a spot and walk to the church.

Star = UBC; Red are paid on-street parking spots; P = Parking Ramp

There are parking ramps at:

  • The Venue: 428 13th Ave. SE. (5th St. SE between 13th and 14th Aves.) It is located on the east side of 13th Ave. SE between 4th St. and 5th St. SE. The entrance is at the south end of the Venue at Dinkytown on 13th Ave. SE, next to Burrito Loco
  • 4th Street Ramp: 4th St. SE at 17th Ave.

Enter on the side of the church, next to the driveway. There’s a set of stairs to the lower-level side entrance. Once inside, take the stairs down again and go around to your left to enter the gymnasium 🏀

What to bring

  • Comfortable clothes and shoes to move in
  • Music Stand
  • Water bottle
  • Money for lunch – we’ll have an hour break around noon (several choices nearby)

Woodwinds

Bring your own woodwind instrument if you have one available to you. Bring all of them if you have multiple (alto & tenor for example). We’ll figure out instrumentation during the first month. If you don’t have an instrument to bring, contact justin@mnbrass.org ahead to time to make arrangements.

Brass

Minnesota Brass supplies brass instruments to play but we can’t guarantee there’s enough for everyone unless you register ahead of time. You can always bring your own instrument if you’d like.

Bring mouthpieces for all the instruments you’re able to play. We’ll be figuring out instrumentation during the first month. See you there!
