Minnesota Brass is an independent, all-age drum and bugle corps based in St. Paul, Minnesota.  Like all drum corps, our ensemble is comprised of three distinct sections:  the hornline (trumpets, mellophones, baritones, euphoniums and tubas); the percussion (snares, tenors, basses, cymbals and the frontline ensemble of keyboard and auxiliary percussion) and the color guard (dancers, flags, rifles and sabres).  Together these sections create an entertaining show of music and motion which we perform at competitions, exhibitions and parades throughout the summer.

Check out our Quick Guide for a summary of key information about Minnesota Brass!

The corps is one of the premiere all-age drum corps in the country.  In 2011, Minnesota Brass won its first World Championship.  In 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012, and 2014 the corps was the DCA Silver medalist.  The corps has won several caption (or section) awards including:

2017 Program

Crafted of rags, textiles and other assorted materials, voodoo dolls are pierced with pins with the distinct intention of inflicting physical harm upon targeted subjects. A voodoo doll’s existence is one of pain and servitude, the pawn of another’s will, a surrogate to another’s whim…

Or perhaps not?

We are excited to present a patchwork of sounds and visions that will tantalize the soul and capture the black magic mystery of “Pins & Needles”. Brass arrangements from famed Blue Devils arranger John Meehan. Selections include “In The Hall Of The Mountain King” and “The March Of The Trolls” by Grieg, “Medea’s Dance Of Vengeance” by Samuel Barber, “Coraline” [ending credits] by Bruno Courlais and “Hurt” by Trent Reznor.
