The corps is one of the premiere all-age drum corps in the country. In 2011, Minnesota Brass won its first World Championship. In 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012, and 2014 the corps was the DCA Silver medalist. The corps has won several caption (or section) awards including:
- DCA Horn Champions in 2010, 2011 and 2015
- DCA Percussion Champions in 2003, 2004, 2010, and 2013
- DCA Frontline Champions in 2001, 2004 and 2005
- DCA Color Guard Champions in 2011
